Sky Sports name new striker Wrexham will sign after Bailey Cadamarteri

Sky Sports name Davis Keillor-Dunn as the new striker Wrexham will sign after completing Bailey Cadamarteri’s transfer from Sheffield Wednesday.

The January transfer window is concluding on a wildcard note for Wrexham. When it appeared all set that Ryan Hardie was going to be the deputy striker behind Sam Smith and Kieffer Moore, the narrative has flipped upside down.

Sheffield Wednesday’s Bailey Cadamarteri is hailed as Hardie’s replacement at the Racecourse. Although, fans would hope the 21-year-old prodigy does better than Hardie’s solitary goal at the club so far. Anyways, Wrexham have got their frontman in Cadamarteri but surprisingly he isn’t joining the attacking unit alone.

Another highly rated goalscorer will follow Cadamarteri at Wrexham. Unlike the Owls wonderkid, fans in North Wales have heard of him and it’s time for his long-awaited Wrexham homecoming.

Wrexham are re-signing Davis Keillor-Dunn

To be honest, Davis Keillor-Dunn to Wrexham has been a transfer to watch out for quite some days. The Reds were highly likely to tempt Keillor-Dunn back to his old stomping ground in the wake of his Barnsley heroics.

That day has finally arrived. In their own words, Sky Sports mentioned: “Wrexham are working on a deal to sign Barnsley striker Davis Keillor-Dunn before tonight’s deadline.”

More information on the price tag might come out in the coming days, but Wrexham fans can take it for granted that Keillor-Dunn wouldn’t have sweeped away a good portion of the transfer budget. Considering that 1 goal Serie A striker Idrissa Toure was also in the mix, it’s a good decision lowkey.

Davis knows the club well and may have regretted leaving the Racecourse just months before Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac tookover. Wrexham have written a fairytale promotion story since then wherever the Reds played. Knowing that Davis will get to write his share of history in Wrexham’s Premier League climb, a homecoming after 5 years becomes truly worth it.

Wrexham forwards for the 2025/26 Championship season

Following the arrivals of Bailey Cadamarteri and Davis Keillor-Dunn, there is not much further transfer movement expected from Wrexham. Atleast not in the attacking department, because recruitment plans are being put in place regarding an in-form second tier right-back.

With that said, it’s crystal clear which players will be leading the line for Wrexham in the business end of the Championship season. Starting from the left wing, Nathan Broadhead will be key for unlocking rival defences as he often does with support from Liberato Cacace and Callum Doyle. As for Broadhead’s backup, Phil Parkinson can test out Davis Keillor-Dunn there.

He is a natural striker, no doubt. But Davis has frequently assumed the left wing duties at Barnsley where he scored goals for fun as of late. Kieffer Moore and Sam Smith are undisputed candidates for the No.9 role.

The balance has shifted more in Smith’s favour in recent weeks with Wrexham fans also urging Parky to prefer Smith as the first choice centre forward. Behind those two, will be Reds new boy Bailey Cadamarteri who can learn a lot from Moore and Smith that will aid his development further in men’s first team football.

Josh Windass and Ollie Rathbone often feature on the right and that isn’t expected to change in the next four months. Will these forwards lead Wrexham to a Premier League promotion in the summer, let’s hope so.
