Predicted Wrexham lineup vs Millwall: Cacace and Kabore start again?

Predicted Wrexham lineup

Predicted Wrexham lineup vs Millwall for the 31st Championship matchday at the Racecourse. Liberato Cacace and Issa Kabore to start again?

Phil Parkinson made good use of the easy Sheffield Wednesday fixture by deploying both Liberato Cacace and Issa Kabore from the start. Upon their injury returns, the fullback pair were used sparingly amid fears of another fitness issue arising for both of them.

Wrexham fans had to wait long enough to see both of them in action. However, all that wait will be worth it if Phil Parkinson counts on them again for today’s crunch game against Millwall. Despite a 1-1 draw prediction, Wrexham should go all guns blazing for a home win.

After all, taking the 3 points here will take the Reds above the Lions on goal difference. That said, below is the predicted Wrexham lineup boss Phil Parkinson can turn to for wrapping up a third Championship win on the bounce.

Predicted Wrexham lineup vs Millwall

GK: Arthur Okonkwo

Arthur Okonkwo’s Championship career got a massive boost from Danny Ward’s injury in the 2-0 away win vs Millwall. At home and in-form, Okonkwo has everything it takes to drop a keeping masterclass tonight.

CB: Callum Doyle

Following two standout attacking displays vs QPR and Sheffield Wednesday, it’s time for a defensive shift from Doyle. Millwall outweighed Wrexham in terms of chances created the last time, and that needs to be stopped tonight.

CB: Dominic Hyam

Millwall have their own Sam Smith in attack, Mihailo Ivanovic. The 21-year-old striker’s January was filled with 3 Championship goals and Dominic Hyam will be tasked to put a break on his goalscoring.

CB: Max Cleworth

Cleworth laid an over the top assist for Kieffer Moore during the previous 2-0 Millwall win. Not always, but one of Cleworth and Doyle may have to produce a similar moment of magic if the situation demands.

In defence, Cleworth will need to take caution while coming up against Tommy Watson. The Reds were one of his admirers in the January transfer window, and Cleworth shouldn’t let Watson showcase the reasons for that this evening.

LWB: Liberato Cacace

Since the Leicester City draw, Cacace has rediscovered both consistency and a strong chemistry with Nathan Broadhead on the left flank. That has helped Wrexham break down defences at will. Let’s hope, Cacace has another strong outing lined up in front of the Millwall back-four.

CM: Matty James

Matty James vs Femi Azeez is a strong midfield battle building up. Plus, Matty James in big Championship nights is a player operating on a different level altogether. That A-game performance with assists and key passes will again be required tonight.

CM: Lewis O’Brien

Lewis O’Brien’s finishing is beyond the guessing ability of any Wrexham fan. Still, Ben Sheaf’s midfield shortcomings get more highlighted whenever it’s not his day.

O’Brien atleast binds the midfield together. Same will be expected from the 27-year-old again, as a strong first half without trailing will be a bigger step from Wrexham in the winning direction.

RWB: Issa Kabore

Issa Kabore had a game of two halves at Sheffield Wednesday. The second-half performance with crosses and box deliveries was more lively and helped bring the 1-0 goal. Hopefully, Kabore replicates that second 45 min display throughout the night vs Millwall.

CAM: Nathan Broadhead

Nathan Broadhead’s ability to make chances out of tight spaces is second to none at Wrexham. Despite that, Broadhead has missed countless good scoring opportunities in 2026. His wait for a first goal in the New Year is still going on, and let’s see if that ends tonight against Millwall.

CAM: Josh Windass

Picking Josh Windass over Ollie Rathbone isn’t an easy task for Phil Parkinson at the moment. Still, Rathbone is a guaranteed super sub whom Parky can trust to bring the goals with eyes closed.

Plus, why to change the front three when Wrexham are winning? Josh Windass must start again.

ST: Sam Smith

Fresh off the PFA January POTM nomination, Sam Smith has every right to be leading the line for Wrexham tonight. Millwall are among the most physical teams in the division, and who better than Smith to deliver goals and even track back to help the defence.
