Wrexham predicted lineup vs Sheffield United. George Dobson returns from his 3-game suspension handed during the 4-2 FA Cup defeat against Chelsea.
Wrexham and Southampton are both in action today evening. A lot has been said about the Reds meeting Southampton in a virtual playoffs qualifier in April, and as such, every game before it is a must-win for Phil Parkinson’s men.
First up, Wrexham need to overcome Sheffield United away from home at all costs. The Blades have not a left to play for, but Chris Wilder is a competitive manager and he has made it clear that his Sheffield United team won’t go down without a fight.
With a full strength team, Wrexham have shown they can beat any Championship side on their day. Here, boss Phil Parkinson will have to work with almost the same players that played in the 3-1 Watford defeat and a returning George Dobson.
No doubt, Wrexham fans will expect Dobson to slot straight into the midfield. However, who will be the remaining 10 starters to give Wrexham a shot at winning against Sheffield United? And possibly, to go above Southampton in the table.

On that note, below is the Wrexham predicted lineup boss Phil Parkinson can turn to for the huge 90 minutes ahead at Bramall Lane.
Wrexham predicted lineup vs Sheffield United
GK: Arthur Okonkwo
Conceded a deflected goal away at Watford in the first half. At Hull City and Watford, going behind before half-time was the biggest reason for Wrexham’s defeat. Arthur Okonkwo needs to do better at Sheffield United.
CB: Callum Doyle
Callum Doyle’s attacking output has gone downhill over the past week. The Zak Vyner and Lewis O’Brien midfield duo hasn’t worked out well, which leaves Doyle clearing out danger at the back. Tonight could be better for Doyle though, with George Dobson’s comeback.
CB: Dom Hyam
Dom Hyam struggled against Patrick Bamford’s clever box movement in the 5-3 reverse fixture in December. Bamford again netted a vital goal for the Blades last week, hence, it’ll be interesting to see if Hyam can deny him tonight.
CB: Max Cleworth
Surprisingly, Max Cleworth is onto 2 Championship goals for March. Both were headers. Apart from expecting a goal from Cleworth, Wrexham fans will also hope him and Hyam win their aerial duels vs Bamford.
LWB: George Thomason
George Thomason was the star of the show with his 3 assists as a makeshift left wingback vs Sheffield United. Chris Wilder will have a plan ready for him, still, Parkinson hasn’t got many options other than Thomason which he admits.
CM: George Dobson
George Dobson adds more physicality to the Wrexham midfield. His tackles and interceptions were sorely missed during the last 3 games. Hopefully, Dobson’s return can see Wrexham returning to winning ways as well.

CM: Lewis O’Brien
Lewis O’Brien has completed the full 90 minutes in Wrexham’s previous 7 league games. He is far better than Zak Vyner on the ball, and in orchestrating attacks. Hence, Parkinson should stick with Lewis O’Brien without a doubt.
RWB: Issa Kabore
Watford took advantage of Ryan Longman’s inability to defend properly in the 3-1 midweek win over Wrexham. To prevent another such result vs Sheffield United, it’s wise to rely on Issa Kabore.
CAM: Nathan Broadhead
Nathan Broadhead has improved his final action in front of goal recently. His previous chemistry with Doyle seems absent on the left flank with each passing day. That needs to change.
CAM: Josh Windass
Ollie Rathbone got back-to-back starts against Swansea City and Watford. His intensity levels look to have gone down, so it’s better to bring him as a substitute and start Josh Windass as the second No.10 alongside Broadhead.
ST: Sam Smith
Phil Parkinson didn’t experiment with Bailey Cadamarteri as a starting striker in the busy March schedule. So, most likely he will again turn to Sam Smith for the pick of goals.
