Wrexham predicted lineup vs West Brom: Kieffer Moore on the bench?

Wrexham predicted lineup vs West Brom for matchday 40 of the Championship. Kieffer Moore starts on the bench?

Facing West Brom today on the road is the first part of Wrexham’s seven game Championship run-in. And the second easiest too, after all Oxford United are the only remaining opponent Wrexham will face who sit below West Brom at the moment.

The Reds can’t get an advantage over Southampton in the playoffs race just by winning tonight. But three points will help Wrexham put pressure on the Saints who are level at 63 points but ahead only on goal difference. Boss Phil Parkinson made it clear that Kieffer Moore is all set to return tonight.

Matty James and Liberato Cacace are also on the verge of returning to competitive action but their participation is still in doubt at West Brom. That said, let’s head over to the Wrexham predicted lineup vs West Brom to see which starting eleven Parkinson fancies just after the international break.

Wrexham predicted lineup vs West Brom

GK: Arthur Okonkwo

West Brom is one of the four Championship fixtures Arthur Okonkwo didn’t get to start before due to Danny Ward starting early in the campaign. Ward conceded three goals back then, which Okonkwo isn’t expected to do against a weak attack. Let’s see if Okonkwo can walk away with a clean sheet.

CB: Callum Doyle

Callum Doyle got a handy two week break to recover from a terrible end to March, in terms of his individual performances. Returning to swinging crosses and laying key passes will be Doyle’s aim tonight.

CB: Dom Hyam

Scottish media brutally criticised Hyam as the second worst Scotland player in the shocking 1-0 Ivory Coast defeat. Here, Hyam needs to respond well and not let West Brom pull an upset as well.

CB: Max Cleworth

Isaac Price tormented Wrexham’s defence last time with a quick fire brace. Right now, he has switched to the left flank where Max Cleworth will be tasked to avoid letting space to the Northern Ireland star.

LWB: George Thomason

George Thomason can release good passes from the left wingback position. With Cacace uncertain to play vs West Brom, it’s right to trust the unorthodox Thomason on the left side of the defence.

CM: George Dobson

Dobson makes a big difference by tracking opposing forwards whenever they break through on goal. West Brom are a team on the up with Josh Maja and Aune Heggebo finding form back. Dobson thus, needs to be on his feet throughout the evening in order to mark them.

CM: Lewis O’Brien

Lewis O’Brien bagged a late 2-3 consolation goal in front of West Brom. He was brought in the attacking midfielder role against Sheffield United but that was largely done to managing other injuries. At West Brom, O’Brien will head over to his natural midfield role.

RWB: Issa Kabore

Issa Kabore will have more attacking freedom on the right as West Brom might play for a draw here. An assist similar to Sam Smith’s 2-1 winner at Sheffield United can prove to be crucial again.

CAM: Nathan Broadhead

Got thirty minutes in the tank for Wales across the past week. Phil Parkinson trusts Broadhead more than Bellamy anyway, and should be starting him to play the full 90 with three points up for grabs.

CAM: Josh Windass

Ollie Rathbone was subpar in March while Josh Windass got in more attacking spaces. Consequently, Windass got the equaliser in the 2-1 Sheffield United comeback. Should be on the playing eleven again.

ST: Sam Smith

Kieffer Moore is back in Wrexham’s attack. The Welshman should get a decent run here, but that should be as a second half substitute. Risking Moore’s fitness and asking him to bring the goals in a winnable game won’t suit Wrexham well. Sam Smith is reliable enough.
